Origin mattress review
As a new flat owner in search of a quality mattress, I’ve never regretted purchasing the Origin Hybrid® Mattress (Queen size). Fast forward to 4 months later, I’m proud to share that not only have I saved more than $500 of my budget, but Origin Singapore is indeed one of the most supportive mattresses I’ve tried.
You’ve come to the right page if you’re in search of an affordable mattress with risk-free guarantees. Whether you’re on a tight budget, a victim of backaches, or have zero experience with buying mattresses, here’s how Origin Singapore might be the perfect fit for you like it has been for me.
A cooling mattress that relieves backaches
As mentioned in their website, Origin is indeed Singapore’s most supportive mattress yet — and for good reason. The Origin Hybrid® Mattress comes with 6 layers of comfort.
The base layer — Micro Precision Springs™ — deserves a mention in my opinion. The high quality pocketed springs boast isolation motion. For those who share a bed with someone else, this feature will come in handy if you often wake up in the night when your partner tosses and turns.
The Origin Hybrid® Mattress also contains a Cooling Gel Ventilated Memory Foam which is known to relieve pressure points and provide body relief. I’m a white-collar worker so I’m mostly desk-bound 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I’m usually hunched over my computer which explains why I have poor posture and sharp backaches.
While the Origin Hybrid® Mattress isn’t a cure-all when it comes to body relief, I did feel lesser body aches and I often wake up feeling refreshed — thanks to a cooling layer called the Origin® Airflow Tencel. This releases heat and combats Singapore’s humidity in the night. If you often wake up sweaty, Origin might be your solution.
Most importantly, each Origin mattress has a natural latex layer which most mattress brands lack. Natural latex tends to be a tad expensive but this eco-friendly material comes with a plethora of benefits:
- Better air circulation
- Anti-fungal, anti-dustmite, and anti-bacterial
Better yet, I get to enjoy these perks at 55% off — which brings us to the next point.
Major discount — enjoy 55% off with free, same-day delivery
Origin is one of the most affordable mattress brands as compared to big names like Sealy, Noa, and Casper. Their single mattress retails from just $399 — a value-for-money buy especially when their mattresses have natural latex. Here’s a cost breakdown of their mattresses:
Aside from scoring affordable buys, Origin provides same-day delivery for free. I got mine within 24 hours and the process was fuss-free. My mattress came in a slim and compact box. All I need to do is unroll the mattress and it instantly expands to its full size.
If you’re in a hurry, you can top up $20 for Express Delivery and get your mattresses within 2 hours.
Tip: Disposing of mattresses can be a chore but Origin provides mattress disposal services for just an additional $50 only. Just make sure to opt for this service at the checkout page.
Risk-free purchase — 120 night trial
Since everyone has different sleeping patterns and habits, a foolproof way to assess the suitability of a mattress is via night trials. Origin allows me to try their mattress for 120 days and opt for a full refund if I’m not satisfied.
Plus, you don’t even need to keep the mattress box or buy an additional covering to preserve the mattress’ original conditions. Even if it isn’t as new, Origin will still collect your used mattress and refund you in full.
Premium mattress at affordable prices
When it comes to buying mattresses, I’ve learned that the quality and in-house services are 2 important factors to consider. I count myself lucky to snag such a premium, Queen-sized mattress for only $599 (U.P. $1,200) while others are most likely paying double the price for the same mattress’ features Origin has. Plus, my purchase comes with free shipping fees too.
