The second person fly free* when the sale fares are booked in pairs, and a minimum of 2 passengers must travel together on the same itinerary. Note: It seems that any two passengers (need not be parent-child relationship) can still enjoy the sale fares when booked together.

Fares are one way economy Starter fares with 7kg carry-on baggage only. *A minimum of 2 passengers, must travel together on the same itinerary for the fare to apply. You must include all travelling passengers in the same booking for travel on the same flight. A promotional fare is payable for the first passenger, with taxes and fees payable for the second passenger. Sale fares are for selected routes only. Conditions apply. Sale fares are only applicable when booked in pairs.
Sale ends 10 April 2017 (11:59pm), unless sold out prior. Sale may be extended. Fares are non-refundable. Availability is limited (not available on all flights, over school holidays, public holiday and weekends).
