Expect to be wowed by the elaborate and ostentatious decorations in the monastery, and the caves where the monks are buried are also a must to visit. Another UNESCO World Heritage to visit is the Saint Sophia Cathedral where the biggest preserved collection of mosaics and frescoes of that 11th century reside.
