Apple has introduced the iPhone Duo, marking the company’s first entry into the foldable smartphone category.
Built around a dual-display design, the iPhone Duo opens to reveal a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display—the largest screen ever offered on an iPhone. When folded, users can access a more compact 5.4-inch outer display for everyday tasks.
The iPhone Duo will be available in two finishes: Night Sky and Star White.

Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo will begin at 8pm SGT on 16 October 2026, ahead of its official availability in Singapore from 23 October 2026.

Apple is offering the iPhone Duo in four storage capacities, starting with 256GB and going all the way up to 2TB. Singapore pricing and availability have been confirmed on the Apple Singapore online store.
Apple’s largest iPhone display yet
50% larger display than iPhone 18 Pro Max
When fully opened, the iPhone Duo’s 7.6-inch inner display offers 50 per cent more screen space than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. And it has an outer display with more than 90 per cent of the screen area of iPhone 18 Pro. The foldable Super Retina XDR display features ProMotion technology, an Always-On display and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
Apple has also applied a custom nano-texture finish to the inner display to reduce glare. An under-display FaceTime camera remains hidden beneath the screen until it is needed, creating a largely uninterrupted viewing surface.
The iPhone Duo can be used in multiple positions. Users can open it fully for movies, games and multitasking, keep it closed for one-handed use, or place it partially folded on a surface for video calls, workouts and hands-free viewing.
Its Split View functionality also allows two apps to run side by side on the inner display.

The foldable phone is built with a Grade 5 titanium frame and titanium hinge cover, while Ceramic Shield protects the front and back.
Apple says the device’s multi-layer inner display has been designed to remain smooth and flat when opened. It also carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Despite its larger screen, the iPhone Duo remains pocketable when folded and becomes Apple’s thinnest iPhone when fully opened.
New possibilities for photos and video
The iPhone Duo comes with a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system, comprising a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera. It supports 48MP photography, macro shots, 2x optical-quality zoom and Dolby Vision video recording at up to 4K and 120 frames per second.

Its foldable design introduces several new camera features. Duo Preview lets the person being photographed view the shot on the outer display, while Kid Cue uses playful animations to help attract a child’s attention towards the camera.
Smart Take can detect when everyone is ready before automatically capturing a group photo. The phone can also stand on its own for hands-free pictures, videos and FaceTime calls.
A 12MP Center Stage camera is located on the outer display, complemented by the under-display FaceTime camera on the inside.
A20 Pro performance and dual batteries

Powering the iPhone Duo is Apple’s A20 Pro chip, featuring a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU and Dual 16-core Neural Engine. A vapour-chamber cooling system helps the phone maintain performance during intensive workloads and gaming sessions.

Apple has fitted a battery into each side of the device, creating its first dual-battery system for an iPhone.
The iPhone Duo offers up to 31 hours of video playback using the inner display or up to 44 hours using the outer display. With a compatible high-power adapter, it can reach 50 per cent charge in approximately 20 minutes.
Built for iOS 27 and Siri AI
The iPhone Duo runs iOS 27, with parts of the interface redesigned around its foldable format. Apps can transition between the outer and inner displays as the phone is opened, while controls adapt to different orientations and viewing positions.
Write with Siri. Siri AI can now generate a draft from scratch or provide feedback on what you’ve written. Just describe what you need in your own words. And in Messages and Mail, Siri AI can match your writing style, punctuation and tone.
The larger display also provides more room for Apple Intelligence features and the new Siri AI experience, which is rolling out in English.
Other connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The iPhone Duo is an eSIM-only device worldwide and does not include a physical SIM-card tray.
