SG50: Seniors Package Goodies Unveiled (22 May 2015)

As Singapore prepares for the 50th birthday of Singapore in three months time, it is important to honour our seniors for their contribution to Singapore. Without their hard work and dedication, Singapore would not be where she is today.

Health Minister Mr Gan Kim Yong announced on Friday (May 22) that 700,000 senior citizens aged 50 and above will receive the SG50 Seniors Package with over 200 offers from more than 100 companies, with those who belong to the older age groups will receive more.

There are different benefits and privileges which include dining, leisure, lifelong learning, lifestyle and wellness offers.

With hundred of deals to look forward to, some notable dining deals include 50% off buffet, discounts at Kopitiam with iCard and even a $0.50 dinner buffet at Swissôtel The Stamford with two paying adults. This is a perfect opportunity for family to bond together.

There is more than just dining for our senior citizens as they can also get to enter the conservatories at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Zoo and Jurong Bird Park for free.

Seniors who are aged 55 and above can also get a free commemorative PAssion Card with a 5 years membership for free. Please visit your nearest Community Club for more information.

To offset public transportation cost for the seniors, there will be a SG50 Public Transport Voucher worth $50 for those aged 60 and above. Redemption letters will be sent out by 15 June 2015 if you are eligible.
