Abalone… In Bubble Tea?! Malaysia Is Selling This for RM17.90

Ask us questions, discover the latest offers & more on Telegram.

Just when you thought bubble tea trends were calming down… here comes Abalone Milk Tea with popcorn and boba — and yes, it’s real. Well… sort of.

Over at Thong Cha+ in Malaysia, they’ve launched a drink that looks like it belongs at a CNY reunion dinner. Sitting inside your milk tea? A glossy “abalone”.

Before you imagine seafood swimming in brown sugar syrup — relax.

The abalone is actually a Glutinous Pu Er Tea-infused Abalone Jelly. It’s crafted to look like the real thing, but it’s soft, chewy jelly with subtle earthy Pu Er tea notes. No seafood. No briny surprises. (And honestly… we wouldn’t want actual abalone in milk tea anyway 😅)

What you’re really getting for RM17.90:

• Creamy milk tea base
• Chewy boba pearls
• Crunchy popcorn topping
• Insta-worthy abalone-shaped tea jelly

Texture-wise, it’s fun. Visually, it’s dramatic. And for under RM20, you’re basically paying for the drink + the conversation starter + the Instagram or TikTok content.

Let’s be real — this isn’t just about taste. It’s about attention. It’s about ordering it, placing it on the table, and watching your friends zoom in asking, “Eh… is that real abalone or not?”

Cheeky? Yes.
Creative? Definitely.
Worth trying once for the story? Confirm.

If you’re heading to Malaysia anytime soon, this is one of those “must try before it disappears” novelty drinks.

Yes — your favourite rice dishes… in chip form.

The BBQ Pork Rice Potato Chips capture the unmistakable aroma of Tsui Wah’s signature char siew, layered with smoky soy sauce notes and a hint of honeyed sweetness. Each bite delivers that caramelised, roasted flavour you’d expect from a proper plate of char siew rice — minus the queue.

Meanwhile, the Hainanese Chicken Rice Potato Chips bring together fragrant lemongrass, turmeric and Tsui Wah’s signature sauce blend, recreating the comforting, savoury depth of the classic dish. It’s nostalgic, aromatic and surprisingly addictive.

A Hong Kong Classic, Reinvented

Tsui Wah has long been known for elevating everyday comfort food into something iconic. Now, that same restaurant-quality flavour is being translated into a bold snacking experience — crispy, convenient, and dangerously easy to finish in one sitting.
