How many sushi plates can you and your makan buddy finish in 50 minutes? Sushi Express and Sushi Plus are putting appetites to the test with their Big Eater Challenge, where teams of two can earn bigger discounts with every milestone — all the way up to a free meal.
The plate count is shared between both teammates, so choose your partner wisely:

There’s cash on the line, too. The three teams with the highest plate counts overall will win S$1,000, S$800 and S$500, respectively. If your team beats competitive eater Zermatt Neo’s 201-plate record, you could also stand a chance to win an additional S$500 cash.
When and where to take on the challenge
The challenge runs on 7, 13, 21 and 28 October, and 4 November 2026, with sessions at 2.30pm and 4pm. Participants should arrive 20 minutes before their session.
You can join at Sushi Express outlets in Westgate, Changi City Point, PLQ Mall and Waterway Point, or at Sushi Plus in 313@somerset.
A few rules to know before you sign up: both teammates must be at least 18 years old, and each person can participate only once. Only plates taken directly from the conveyor belt count. All food, including garnishes, must be finished within the 50-minute limit.
Spots are limited, and registration opens one week before each challenge date. Gather your hungriest friend and register for the Big Eater Challenge here. Registration fees, if paid, are non-refundable.
