Penang Culture x Datuk Chef Wan Signatures are available for taste ala carte, or a set menu at 25% OFF the usual price. Order the full set that can feed 4-5 pax for only $90 (U.P. $120)!

Look forward to the Mackerel in Spicy and Sour Gravy (Gerang Asam) $28 per portion, a mouthwatering fish curry dish that packs a punch in spice as well as a kick in tanginess with kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and laksa leaf cutting through the fragrant dried shrimp paste base.

There’s also the Stir Fried 4-in-1 Vegetables with Sambal (Sambal Goreng Empat Sayur) $18 per portion, a crunchy delight of 4 different types of vegetables – long beans, petai beans, eggplant and ladies fingers – all dressed up with the spice from generous red chillies and fragrance from dried shrimp paste, stir-fried with shallots and dried prawns.

Stealing the show is the King Tiger Prawn Rendang (Rendang Udang Galah) $28 per portion. The King Tiger Prawns here boast an average weight of 60 grams per prawn and are freshly shipped from Malaysia. Seafood lovers will delight in a delectable creamy rendang of juicy King Tiger prawns cooked over medium heat until turmeric and coconut milk meld together into a fragrant dry stock that only further brings out the sweetness of the prawns.

Not to be missed is the Massaman Beef (Daging Massaman) $28 per portion a traditional Thai beef curry dish where beef is simmered to flavourful, tender perfection with spices like coriander, fennel, cinnamon and star anise. Datuk Chef Wan’s version comes with a dash of evaporated milk and peanuts for an added richness that’s sure to have you asking for seconds.

Last but not least, satiate even the most voracious appetite with Mum’s Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng Emak) $18 per portion, a comforting plate of fried rice with anchovies, eggs and kang kung meant to be enjoyed piping hot out of the wok for a taste of home.

“Penang Culture has been serving up authentic Malaysian hawker fare in Singapore for a decade since 2011. It is a shining spot of Malaysian food bridging two nations here and I am excited that they have reached out to me to be on this journey to promote Malaysian cuisine together,” says the Datuk Chef Wan of the collaboration. “I have worked very closely with Penang Culture’s chefs to create this menu and am confident that they are able to execute them to perfect Malaysian taste. Travel to Malaysia may not be on the books right now due to Covid-19, so why not let Malaysian food come to you. It has been a while since I greeted my Singapore fans, so this came as a splendid opportunity for me to continue serving up my delights to fans residing in Singapore.”
